Avnet Logistics Bernburg

A high-performance distribution center with several logistics hall sections and upstream social and administration buildings is being built on a site area of approx. 190000 m². A total of 56000 m² of logistics space 4600 m² of office space and a product processing center (PMC) with an area of approx. 1100 m² will be created in the first construction phase. Possible expansion areas are planned.

A total of around 700 jobs are to be created here by 2031. Following the start of construction in September 2022 and the topping-out ceremony in November 2023 gradual commissioning is planned from the second half of 2024. In spring 2025 up to 19000 parcels are to be delivered here every day to over 30000 customers worldwide. The location in Bernburg (Saale) complements the companys two existing European distribution centers in Tongeren Belgium and Poing near Munich.

Job Summary:

Interfaces with appropriate individuals within the information technology and user community to determine project functional requirements. Develops efficient and effective performance testing plans methods processes and test scripts. Evaluates test results to determine compliance with test plans expected outcomes and established business processes.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Designs and develops test plans and scripts that may include determining different testing processes based on configuration setups and obtaining the appropriate data needed for the test to simulate real world application. Creates and maintains test data results.
• Maintains test script and ensures application software is tested to meet requirements.
• Audits software systems for data validity.
• Assists in the evaluation of test tools.
• May develop custom tools and methodologies as required for given situations to assist in software testing.
• Defines and implements quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Extensive knowledge and application of principles theories and concepts. Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices techniques and standards.
• Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables. Determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.
• Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Work may be reviewed at a high-level.
• May represent the organization as a primary contact on assignments and/or projects. Interacts with senior professionals and management and frequently coordinates work between departments or organizations.
• Actions may impact the organization. Failure to accomplish work will result in the inability to reach crucial organizational goals. Erroneous decisions may have a prolonged effect resulting in the expenditure of substantial resources.
