About the Role

We are seeking a Lab Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of an experimental research laboratory. This role is responsible for ensuring that the lab runs safely efficiently and reliably. You will serve as the connective tissue across equipment facilities vendors and personnelowning everything from procurement and compliance to lab organization and infrastructure. This is a hands-on role that combines operational excellence with technical awareness in a highly dynamic environment.

What Youll Work On

• Manage day-to-day lab operations ensuring a safe organized and productive environment

• Manage procurement of lab equipment components and consumables including vendor coordination and inventory tracking

• Maintain and oversee lab infrastructure: benches utilities gas systems vacuum systems and general workspace organization

• Coordinate installation maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment

• Support researchers with lab setup needs including space allocation and experiment readiness

• Develop and enforce lab safety procedures documentation and training

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. safety environmental institutional requirements)

• Track and manage shared resources ensuring availability and uptime of critical equipment

• Improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce friction in experimental workflows

• Assist with onboarding new team members into the lab environment

You May Be a Good Fit If You Have

• Experience managing or supporting operations in a laboratory engineering or technical environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage many parallel tasks

• Experience with procurement vendor management and inventory systems

• Familiarity with laboratory infrastructure (e.g. vacuum systems gas handling electronics benches or similar)

• Working knowledge of lab safety practices and regulatory compliance

• Ability to troubleshoot and coordinate solutions for equipment and facility issues

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset across diverse teams (scientists engineers operations)

• A proactive ownership-driven approachyou identify problems and solve them before they escalate
