Electrical Field Service Technician

Job Summary
In this role youll take the lead in supporting customers and field teams with the operation inspection maintenance and repair of a variety ofpower distribution system equipment. This includes systems related to power delivery drives and controls. Youll play a key part in keeping critical equipment up and running while helping guide on-site activities.
Work Model: Remote (with travel)
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety policies and procedures both internal and on customer sites
- Install maintain repair and commission equipment related to power delivery control systems outages and power quality
- Support planned and unplanned outages as needed
- Work closely with field engineers and leadership to execute projects efficiently
- Build strong working relationships with teammates and customers
- Deliver a high level of service that helps drive repeat business and referrals
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma and 9 years of hands-on experience in power systems commissioning testing or maintenance
- (Formal education can be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis)
- Experience working with electrical systems such as:
- Medium- and low-voltage switchgear
- Power panels and motor control centers (MCCs)
- Generators and transformers
- Electromechanical equipment
- Protective relays (testing and installation)
- PLCs and DCS systems
- Electrical drawings wiring diagrams and schematics
- Testing equipment and instrumentation
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% (locally and out of the immediate area)
