Description

We currently have an opportunity for an Asset Manager in NZ to join our Government and Integrated Facilities Management team and play a key role in ensuring the effective stewardship compliance and performance of critical assets within a custodial correctional environment. Reporting to the Contract Manager youll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support safe secure and essential public services.

What Youll Do

This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:

  • Managing and maintaining asset registers within CMMS/CMS systems ensuring accuracy compliance and alignment with contractual requirements
  • Analysing asset data to develop lifecycle plans maintenance strategies and compliance-driven standards and manuals
  • Leading condition assessments to inform renewals replacements and long-term asset planning
  • Supporting capital works planning including condition-based and risk-based asset strategies
  • Partnering with operational teams and client stakeholders to deliver asset performance outcomes within a live custodial environment
  • Coordinating asset inspections audits and reporting to ensure safety reliability and service continuity
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across asset management practices and systems

What Youll Bring

  • Proven experience managing asset registers and asset data within CMMS/CMS platforms
  • Strong capability in asset data analysis contract-based asset tracking and performance reporting
  • Demonstrated experience translating asset data into lifecycle plans maintenance strategies and compliance frameworks
  • Experience in long-term asset planning including renewals replacements and condition-based approaches
  • Ability to undertake and interpret condition assessments to support asset decision-making
  • An engineering or technical background with working knowledge of building systems (e.g. fire mechanical electrical)
  • Confidence working in regulated or complex environments ideally within custodial or similar settings
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach
