They are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Management Consultant to join a high-impact team on a major construction initiative. This is a contract role requiring on-site presence at a dynamic construction environment offering the opportunity to shape large-scale energy projects with national significance.
The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep expertise in managing complex multi-disciplinary construction or industrial projects from conception through completion. You will be responsible for ensuring project deliverables are met on time within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level project management leadership and consultation for large-scale energy construction projects.
- Develop manage and oversee comprehensive project plans schedules budgets and resource allocation.
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineering construction procurement and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Implement robust risk management frameworks identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
- Prepare and deliver detailed project status reports dashboards and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage project change control processes and resolve complex technical and logistical challenges.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement implementing best practices in project management methodologies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 11-15 years of progressive experience in project management with a significant portion within large-scale construction energy utilities or heavy industrial sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex capital projects with budgets exceeding $50M.
- Expert proficiency with industry-standard project management software (e.g. Primavera P6 MS Project) and document control systems.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting forecasting cost control and variance analysis.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Superior communication negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Business Administration or a related field. PMP PgMP or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- This is an on-site position; candidates must be willing and able to work at the project location.
