Job Summary

What youll do:

Manage and lead road design projects from concept through construction.
Oversee technical design teams ensuring compliance with AASHTO DOT and local standards.
Serve as the primary client liaison for project delivery quality and performance.
Review design calculations plans and specifications.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and project managers.
Support proposal development and business growth through technical leadership.

What youll bring:

Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina and/or South Carolina (or ability to become registered within six months) is strongly preferred.
10-15 years of road design experience including leadership of large-scale DOT or other county/municipal transportation projects.
Experience managing or being in charge of all aspects of design for a project (geometric design typical sections drainage/hydraulics Maintenance of Traffic etc.).
Familiarity with state DOT standards in this case specifically North/South Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT/SCDOT) design manuals plan-preparation guides and other related regulations and processes.
Proficiency in relevant design software/tools (MicroStation OpenRoads Designer AutoCAD Civil 3D etc.).
Proven ability to manage project budgets schedules and multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent written and oral communication skills leadership/mentoring ability and ability to manage multi-discipline teams.
