Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Ignition Architect to lead the design development and deployment of advanced SCADA solutions within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong technical leader who can translate complex operational requirements into scalable high-performance Ignition architectures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions from site assessment to production rollout while ensuring reliability efficiency and data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and design robust Ignition SCADA systems including Tag Providers gateways and enterprise/edge deployments
Conduct site surveys to evaluate machine connectivity and data integration readiness
Define and implement IT/OT integration strategies across multiple PLC platforms
Develop and maintain Python scripts within the Ignition environment
Design and implement database interfaces historians and reporting solutions
Build intuitive dashboards to visualize plant KPIs OEE and operational performance
Lead project execution collaborating with distributed engineering teams and stakeholders
Provide technical guidance documentation and continuous system improvements
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Engineering or a related field
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role (10 years strongly preferred)
Strong hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA architecture and system design
Active Ignition Gold Certification is highly preferred
Proven experience with PLC integration and multiple industrial communication protocols
Solid understanding of IT/OT convergence and industrial data flows
Proficiency in Python scripting within Ignition
Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
EU citizenship and a valid passport are required
