Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Ignition Architect to lead the design development and deployment of advanced SCADA solutions within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong technical leader who can translate complex operational requirements into scalable high-performance Ignition architectures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions from site assessment to production rollout while ensuring reliability efficiency and data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design robust Ignition SCADA systems including Tag Providers gateways and enterprise/edge deployments
- Conduct site surveys to evaluate machine connectivity and data integration readiness
- Define and implement IT/OT integration strategies across multiple PLC platforms
- Develop and maintain Python scripts within the Ignition environment
- Design and implement database interfaces historians and reporting solutions
- Build intuitive dashboards to visualize plant KPIs OEE and operational performance
- Lead project execution collaborating with distributed engineering teams and stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance documentation and continuous system improvements
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role (10 years strongly preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA architecture and system design
- Active Ignition Gold Certification is highly preferred
- Proven experience with PLC integration and multiple industrial communication protocols
- Solid understanding of IT/OT convergence and industrial data flows
- Proficiency in Python scripting within Ignition
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- EU citizenship and a valid passport are required
