We are currently seeking a Hospital Porter to join our team at Msuez Uk in Johannesburg. As a Hospital Porter you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital. You will be responsible for transporting patients equipment and supplies throughout the hospital as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff. Key Responsibilities: - Transport patients to and from various hospital departments including operating rooms radiology and physical therapy - Move equipment and supplies to different areas of the hospital as needed - Clean and disinfect patient rooms waiting areas and other hospital spaces - Monitor and restock supplies in patient rooms and other hospital areas - Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff - Assist with the transportation of deceased patients to the morgue - Respond to emergency situations and assist medical staff as needed - Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families - Maintain accurate records and documentation of all tasks performed - Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures Qualifications and Skills: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-stress environment - Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects - Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols - Basic computer skills - Ability to follow directions and work independently - Must be able to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays We offer a competitive salary and benefits package as well as opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
