Associate Director, Specialty, Medical Affairs ANZ

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Medical Affairs to play a senior role in executing medical strategy and delivering highquality scientific engagement across the Australian market with ongoing collaboration at regional and global levels.

This role combines deep scientific expertise operational excellence and strong stakeholder engagement contributing meaningfully to CSL Behrings medical initiatives and overall success.

The Opportunity

You will leverage your scientific and medical knowledge to support strategically aligned Medical Affairs activities working closely with internal stakeholders and external experts. You will act as a key contributor within multidisciplinary teams supporting evidence generation scientific exchange and medical education initiatives that align with both local and global medical strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate scientific data research proposals and medical initiatives for quality relevance and alignment with Medical Affairs strategy
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) clinicians and scientific experts at local and global levels
• Develop and deliver highquality medical education materials publications and scientific content
• Support data generation activities in collaboration with Global and Local Medical Affairs teams including dissemination of scientific insights
• Coordinate and support advisory boards and steering committees to gather insights that inform medical strategy
• Provide scientific and medical input into materials such as slide decks standard response documents and medical reviews in line with local regulations
• Manage external vendors to ensure deliverables are completed on time within budget and in compliance with CSL policies
• Contribute actively to crossfunctional teams to ensure Global Medical Affairs initiatives are effectively communicated and executed locally

About You

You are a senior scientific/medical professional who thrives in a collaborative regulated environment and enjoys translating complex data into meaningful insights. You are highly regarded for your leadership of strategy and people and have the aspiration and ability to progress to levels of increasing seniority in Medical Affairs.

You will bring:

• A degree in nursing pharmacy or an advanced qualification in science or medicine (PhD MD PharmD preferred)
• 9 years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotherapeutics industry
• Strong experience partnering with commercial and crossfunctional teams within healthcare
• Proven capability in evaluating scientific evidence and supporting medical strategy execution
• Experience engaging with external experts including KOLs and clinical stakeholders
