Bank Teller Intern (Chicago) 18.25 Per Hour

We are currently seeking a Temporary Bank Teller / Summer Intern to join us at our Chicago location. This position is available for an immediate start and will continue through August or September.

As a Teller you will serve as the front line representative of the bank helping to create a welcoming and trustworthy experience for our this role you will handle a variety of financial transactions including receiving and disbursing funds while maintaining accurate records of cash and payments.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Receives checks and cash for deposit verifies amount and carefully examines check for proper endorsement.
• Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Enters customer transactions into the computer to record transactions and issues receipts.
• Explains promotes or refers products or services such as travelers checks savings bonds money orders and cashier checks.
• Assist with Safe Deposit duties when necessary.

• High school diploma or currently enrolled in a college/university program (business finance or related field preferred)
• Availability to work through the summer (April/MayAugust/September)
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and cash-handling accuracy
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office data entry etc.)
