Global Treasury Manager
Job Summary
Objective
Responsible for overseeing cash management operations managing intercompany financial activities and leading financing transactions with banks and capital markets. This role ensures efficient cash flow optimizes intercompany funding and secures financing to support the companys strategic objectives. Additionally the position is responsible for maintaining and managing relationships with banks.
Main Responsibilities
Financing Transactions:
- Lead and execute financing transactions with banks and capital markets to secure necessary funding for the companys strategic initiatives.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of financing agreements to ensure favorable outcomes for the company.
- Monitor and manage the companys debt portfolio ensuring timely repayment and compliance with covenants.
Bank Relationships:
- Maintain and manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions to ensure ongoing support for the companys financial needs.
- Regularly communicate with banking partners to stay informed about market conditions and financing opportunities.
- Evaluate and select banking partners based on their ability to meet the companys financial requirements and provide competitive terms.
Cash Management Operations:
- Oversee and optimize the companys cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
- Implement effective cash management strategies including forecasting budgeting and monitoring cash positions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to cash management.
Intercompany Financial Activities:
- Manage and coordinate intercompany funding and financial transactions to support global operations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with various departments to streamline intercompany processes and resolve any financial discrepancies.
Global Coordination:
- Coordinate with plants and operations in different countries to ensure efficient execution of cash management intercompany financial activities financing transactions bank relationships and financial strategies.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between global teams to align financial practices and policies.
- Address and resolve any cross-border financial issues ensuring compliance with local regulations and optimizing global financial operations.
Hedging and Leasing Management:
- Evaluate hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks related to currency fluctuations interest rates and commodity prices.
- Approve regional leasing agreements for company assets ensuring favorable terms and compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of hedging and leasing activities making adjustments as necessary to optimize financial outcomes.
Supply Chain Financing and Factoring Management:
- Develop and manage supply chain financing programs to optimize working capital and support supplier relationships.
- Implement factoring solutions to improve cash flow and reduce credit risk.
- Negotiate financial terms with financial institutions to ensure favorable conditions for the company.
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure efficient execution of financing and factoring strategies and monitor their impact on the companys financial health.
Position Requirements
Education
Required: Bachelors Degree in Business Finance Accounting
Preferred: Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field
Professional Experience
8 years of progressive experience in Finance within the Automotive or Manufacturing industry
6 years of experience in Treasury Global / Corporate functions
5 years of experience in bank relations
Languages
English: Advanced / Fluent (C1/C2)
Spanish: Advanced / Native
German: Advanced (Plus / Desired)
