Senior Urban Planner

Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Urban Planner to join our dynamic team in Madrid Spain. As a key member of our urban development department you will be deeply involved in the design and coordination of masterplans at multiple scales through innovative and sustainable urban planning initiatives.
- Lead and manage complex urban planning projects from conception to implementation
- Develop comprehensive land use plans zoning regulations and urban design guidelines
- Conduct in-depth analysis of demographic economic and environmental data to inform planning decisions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects engineers and environmental specialists
- Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to stakeholders including government officials
- Integrate sustainable and smart city concepts into urban development strategies
- Mentor junior planners and contribute to the overall growth of the planning team
- Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in urban planning and sustainable development
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Urban Planning Urban Design or a closely related field
- Professional certification is preferred
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in urban planning with a focus on large-scale urban development projects
- Proficiency in CAD and Adobe applications is required while experience or familiarity with Revit and GIS software (e.g. ArcGIS QGIS) will be considered an advantage.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent data analysis and visualization capabilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabias urban planning regulations and policies will be considered an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in sustainable urban design and smart city concepts
- Proven track record of successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to think strategically and develop visionary urban planning solutions
