CPT is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) at NSWC Dahlgren. This role directly supports U.S. Navy gun weapon system development evaluation and sustainment programs in a collaborative mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support systems requirements management and systems engineering design activities for E30 Gun Weapon Systems programs.
- Assist with systems integration engineering and test and evaluation planning and execution.
- Utilize systems engineering software tools to support documentation and requirements traceability.
- Participate in system design reviews working groups and technical interchange meetings.
- Prepare technical documentation requirements specifications and systems engineering artifacts.
- Support senior engineers in systems performance analysis and trade study activities.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 02 years of experience in systems engineering or related technical field.
- Familiarity with systems engineering processes and tools (e.g. SysML MBSE tools or equivalent).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Secret clearance (strongly desired); must be eligible to obtain.
- Academic or internship experience with defense or naval systems engineering.
- Familiarity with DoD systems engineering lifecycle processes.
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS Rhapsody or similar).
