CPT is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) at NSWC Dahlgren. This role directly supports U.S. Navy gun weapon system development evaluation and sustainment programs in a collaborative mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support systems requirements management and systems engineering design activities for E30 Gun Weapon Systems programs.
Assist with systems integration engineering and test and evaluation planning and execution.
Utilize systems engineering software tools to support documentation and requirements traceability.
Participate in system design reviews working groups and technical interchange meetings.
Prepare technical documentation requirements specifications and systems engineering artifacts.
Support senior engineers in systems performance analysis and trade study activities.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
02 years of experience in systems engineering or related technical field.
Familiarity with systems engineering processes and tools (e.g. SysML MBSE tools or equivalent).
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation.
Desired Skills & Experience
Secret clearance (strongly desired); must be eligible to obtain.
Academic or internship experience with defense or naval systems engineering.
Familiarity with DoD systems engineering lifecycle processes.
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS Rhapsody or similar).
