Family Law Legal Director / Partner
Location: Manchester (hybrid working)
Salary: 90000 to 140000 (depending on experience)
Experience: Senior Family Solicitor operating at or ready for Legal Director or Partner level
This is a standout opportunity for a senior Family Law Solicitor to join our clients well-established Family team in Manchester at Legal Director or Partner level. The role offers the platform to lead on complex private family matters support the continued growth of the practice and develop your career within a values-led collaborative firm.
You will take ownership of a high-quality private family caseload and play a key role in shaping the teams growth in Manchester. This is a client-facing position for someone who combines strong technical expertise with empathy and excellent client care and who enjoys building long-term relationships.
What Youll Be Doing
- Leading a varied caseload of private family matters including:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy work
- Private children matters
- Cohabitation disputes
- Providing clear strategic advice and strong representation with professionalism and empathy
- Building and nurturing client relationships ensuring excellent service throughout
- Supporting the development of the Manchester practice through networking and business development
- Supervising mentoring and supporting junior colleagues within the team
- Collaborating with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver joined-up support to clients
What Were Looking For
Essential
- Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales)
- Strong track record in private family law including complex financial remedy work
- Confident client-handling skills and a calm empathetic approach to sensitive matters
- Commercial mindset and interest in practice growth
- Collaborative leadership style and commitment to mentoring and developing others
Desirable
- Established local network in Manchester and the wider North West
- Experience supporting team growth supervision or wider practice leadership
