Sales Support Engineer

Job Summary
Were looking for a detaildriven and customerfocused Sales Support Engineer to manage spare parts enquiries and orders from start to finish. This role sits at the heart of the business coordinating closely with Sales Engineering Operations Procurement and Service to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood accurately captured and delivered on time.
Youll play a key role in enquiry management order processing stakeholder coordination and performance reporting helping to drive customer satisfaction operational efficiency and commercial success.
What you will be doing
- Receive review and fully understand customer spare parts requirements
- Log customer enquiries in the ERP system and issue timely acknowledgements
- Coordinate with Estimating to track enquiry progress and update customers and Sales accordingly
- Create customer orders in the ERP system and issue order acknowledgements
- Prepare and facilitate project launch reviews with relevant stakeholders
- Lead regular progress review meetings with Operations Procurement Engineering and Sales
- Provide customers with regular updates on contract and order progress
- Support Engineering with the preparation of spare parts lists and manage sparesrelated tasking
- Assist Sales with customer followup on key opportunities
- Support Service Coordinators and Service Engineers with urgent or unplanned spare parts requirements
- Monitor report and analyse KPIs related to enquiry response times and ontime delivery
- Provide wider Sales support including compliance documentation enquiry management and coordination between Sales and Engineering
We think you should have
- Degreelevel education in a relevant discipline
- Proven experience in sales support and customerfacing roles
- Experience within the maritime industry or a related sector
- Knowledge of Kongsberg Maritime products and services (or the ability to develop this quickly)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confident user of ERP systems and standard IT applications including Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
