Job Summary
The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher.
This position will be funded by the Severo Ochoa project CEXS (MICIU/AEI/10.13039/).

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Synthetic Organic Chemistry/Chemical Biology to work in a peptide/protein bioconjugation project under the supervision of Professor Marcos García Suero at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) for a period of three years funded by the Severo Ochoa project CEXS (MICIU/AEI/10.13039/).
Responsibilities
Development of new bioconjugations and applications thereof.
Writing reports preparation of scientific articles and presentation of results in group meetings and conferences.
Maintenance of laboratory equipment (LC-MS)
Complete documentation of research results.
Requirements
PhD in Organic Chemistry with demonstrated track record on reaction invention and development.
Proven good level of written and spoken English.
Strong commitment for scientific excellence.
Valued qualities
Demonstrated experience in the invention and development of protein/peptide bioconjugations
Experiences in photochemistry photocatalysis metal-catalyzed CH bond functionalization radical chemistry or asymmetric catalysis.
Peptide synthesis.
Experience in LC-MS and LC-MS/MS analysis
Experiences in SDS or fluorescence gel electrophoresis tryptic digestion and any other proteomic technique.

Selection Process
ICIQs selection process usually entails the following phases:
Pre-selection: The pre-selection process will be based on qualifications and expertise as reflected on the candidates CVs. This phase is merit-based.
Interview: Preselected candidates will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager of the position and the appointed Selection Committee.
