POSITION Union: Production Utility III
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1
LOCATION: BGC - MA - Greenfield
JOB DUTIES:
- Perform or assist with tasks related to natural gas distribution under the direct supervision of qualified personnel.
- Support maintenance activities for gate stations propaneair plants district regulator pits and industrial meter sets.
- Assist with calibration and upkeep of SCADA systems gas detection equipment odorizers and other related instrumentation.
- Carry out additional operational and maintenance duties within the Production department as assigned.
- Participate in the Production oncall rotation schedule upon meeting qualification requirements.
- Maintain required residency within designated proximity once fully qualified for oncall responsibilities.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support departmental operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have knowledge of and understand electrical electronic and telephone circuits.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair instrumentation devices.
- Ability to work from instruction manuals and assembly drawings.
- Ability to lift heavy objects directly from the ground or from overhead.
- Display knowledge of safety procedures and rules of the company.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Be able to pass a full-face respirator medical exam.
Skills/Abilities:
- Effective problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the analytical ability to evaluate complex data and apply good judgment to take appropriate follow up actions as needed while working without close supervision.
- Strong PC skills along with proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel and word applications.
- Use of hand tools.
- Must have good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Must possess dexterity for operating hand and power tools in a safe manner.
- Must be highly productive and results oriented and willing to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work in underground and confined space regulator vaults.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
