Job Summary
Are you a tech-savvy student looking for a job to kick-start your career The Novo Nordisk Foundation is looking for a student assistant (part-time) to join the Corporate IT team.
Corporate IT is responsible for providing IT services and IT solutions to the Novo Nordisk Foundation Novo Holdings and its subsidiaries. The Corporate IT function is covering a wide range of IT domains such as the IT infrastructure the corporate IT applications AI-/automation technologies cyber security and IT service and support to more than 600 colleagues globally.
As a student assistant you will be part of a team of 18 IT professionals plus 2 students who work closely together to deliver best-in-class IT services every day. This is done in close collaboration with our outsourcing partner multiple technology vendors and stakeholders across the organisations. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues with different professional backgrounds and gain hands-on experience with various IT projects and tasks. Further you will become part of a network of student assistants with more than 50 students across the Novo Nordisk Fondation and Novo Holdings.
The Job
You will report to and align priorities with our Senior IT project Lead. However on a day-to day basis you will work closely with the entire team across IT Operations IT Architecture Cyber Security Project Management and Digital Workplace. You will support the teams with various administrative and operational tasks such as:
- Update and maintain our intranet and document management structure in SharePoint including content navigation clear ownership permissions and overall site hygiene.
- Assist colleagues in using our corporate IT systems and applications including SharePoint M365 Copilot and Teams for example through training sessions 11 support or simple user guides.
- Assist in maintaining and supporting our online meeting platforms (primarily Microsoft Teams) and ensure that physical meeting rooms at our headquarters are functioning smoothly.
- Maintain update and troubleshoot simple processoptimization solutions primarily built in Power Automate.
- Support various IT projects and initiatives including small analyses survey design drafting light business cases preparing presentations enduser communication and general documentation tasks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of IT services by collecting feedback identifying optimisation opportunities and assisting with improvement activities.
- Collaborate with external IT vendors and partners who support different aspects of our IT operations.
The working hours will be approximately 20 hours a week with flexibility in relation to your studies.
Professional Qualifications
We are looking for a student who is about to begin their second or third year of a bachelors degree at a university or Business School providing a solid foundation in IT digital technologies and the connection between IT business processes and the people who use them. Relevant study programmes may include IT and Information in Organisations Communication and IT Computer Science Digital Innovation and Management Business Administration with an IT or digital focus or similar fields.
In addition we are looking for someone who demonstrates several of the following qualities:
- A strong interest in working at the intersection between IT systems and the people who use them.
- Motivation to support end-user adoption e.g. by training colleagues 1-1 in small groups or in an online/classroom setting.
- A good understanding of core IT domains concepts principles and methodologies.
- Experience with or interest in SharePoint Teams and the broader M365 suite.
- Experience with or interest in AI and automation technologies to support workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders colleagues and vendors.
- Fluency in English and Danish both written and spoken.
