It is an opportunity to work with Principal and senior engineers to build simple and elegant software solutions customer-centric products cutting-edge features and getting solutions in front of our millions of customers.

Strong background in OO design.
Solid time mgmt./communication skills (both written and orally)
Ability to support multiple projects at a time.

Comfort adapting to new development environments and changing business requirements learning new systems creating reliable/maintainable code and finding creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems.

What youll do:
Own architecture and feature development for our Android/iOS and Apple TV apps and middle-tier services.
Partner with other engineers to ideate design and build scalable software solutions.
Drive test and release automations to increase system reliability and speed to market.
Collaborate with product managers to influence decisions that deliver customer value.
Shape the future of Amazons mobile video platform.

About the team
Our team focuses on customer-facing high-visibility high-impact projects to improve the customer experience for Linear content (24/7 Television or broadcast programming). As a relatively new team there is very little oncall work operational burden or tech debt to deal with so we can focus on innovation. This is an opportunity to build from the ground up. We are not saddled with any legacy tech and can choose the best options as we build.

PV Linear provides the opportunity to design and build new full stack features end-to-end. Our technology focuses on real time event based native AWS services and emerging front end platforms including TV and VR.

Our team has access to multiple PEs and SDE IIIs within Linear as well as across Prime Video to regularly engage with. They provide mentorship and support for career progression of our team members.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3 years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development Release or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
