Job Summary
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable General Coach to lead develop and inspire student-athletes across a variety of sports and activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching fundamental skills fostering teamwork and guiding individuals to achieve success both on and off the field court or competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct effective practices focused on skill development conditioning and teamwork
- Teach fundamental skills rules and strategies applicable to the sport or activity
- Develop and implement training plans and game/competition strategies
- Evaluate participant performance and provide constructive feedback
- Promote sportsmanship discipline and a positive team culture
- Manage event or game-day responsibilities including lineups roles and adjustments
- Monitor athlete safety and ensure proper use of equipment
- Communicate effectively with participants parents and staff
- Maintain records statistics and schedules as needed
- Ensure compliance with all league school or organizational policies
Qualifications
- Previous coaching or playing experience in one or more sports is preferred
- Strong understanding of general coaching principles and team development
- Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and develop individuals of varying skill levels
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check is required
Work Schedule
- Practices events or competitions may be held during evenings and weekends
- Travel may be required depending on the program or schedule
