Electrical Hardware Engineer

Role: Electrical Hardware Engineer Energy Storage Solutions
Location : Michigan

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design development and integration of electrical systems for battery and fuel cell applications
• Define component specifications and work with vendors for subsystem integration
• Design and validate electrical circuits (schematics PCB layouts)
• Develop prototypes conduct testing and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards
• Diagnose and resolve system issues; optimize designs for manufacturing
• Prepare technical documentation (design specs test plans reports)
• Collaborate across teams (mechanical software testing)
• Support functional safety activities (FMEDA FTA DFMEA)
• Mentor junior engineers

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5 years of experience in electrical design especially battery/fuel cell systems
• Strong expertise in circuit design and simulation tools (e.g. SPICE)
• Experience with CAD tools (Altium OrCAD)
• Knowledge of industry standards (UL etc.)
• Familiarity with battery systems in motive power applications
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred:

• 10 years of experience
• Experience in automotive/industrial sectors
• High-voltage system design (>60V)
• Experience with BMS and fuel cell technologies
• Familiarity with standards like UL 2267 / UL 2580
