Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineer III to work on-site with our client in Wilmington NC. This is a contract position supporting advanced manufacturing and automation initiatives with strong potential for extension.

Position Summary The Mechanical Engineer III will support the design development and integration of precision automation equipment and mechanical systems within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on delivering high-performance reliable solutions through strong engineering fundamentals system integration and collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities - Design and develop mechanical components fixtures and automation systems
- Utilize CAD tools (SolidWorks AutoCAD/Inventor) for detailed design work
- Support integration of automation systems into manufacturing processes
- Apply motion control and precision engineering principles to equipment design
- Troubleshoot and optimize system performance to meet reliability standards
- Conduct simulations modeling and engineering analysis
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/suppliers
- Maintain detailed engineering documentation reports and validation protocols
Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
- 7 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience in design and installation of equipment
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
Preferred: - Experience with automation systems and precision equipment design
- Knowledge of motion control systems (servo motors actuators etc.)
- Experience with thermal systems / heat transfer applications
- Strong troubleshooting and system optimization experience
Work Environment - 100% onsite in Wilmington NC
- Up to 10% travel (vendor/supplier sites across North America)
- Trips may range from 1 day to 1 week
- Collaborative engineering and manufacturing environment
