Job Description:

Duties:

Successfully assemble install and wire to completion equipment used in the railroad signaling industry including signal equipment enclosures and associated sub-components wayside signals switch machines meter services and power distribution cases.
Must be able to read railroad signal design blueprints and translate the information to successfully assemble and wire these items according to predetermined standards while maintaining compliance with safety procedures.

Experience/Skills Required:

Ability to perform the following tasks: Layout Back Boards Gates Lights Meter poles and tags.
Associates degree from an accredited electronics or technical school preferred
1-2 years of experience with electronics is required
A good general knowledge of the types of materials equipment and devices used to make up railroad signal systems is preferred
Must possess a valid drivers license
Must be able to lift upto 50 pounds
Must have strong reading and writing skills

Working Conditions:

Inside the construction and wiring facility having limited climate control.

Hours:

40-hour work week subject to overtime and weekend work.
