Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Portland OR
Pay Rate: Starting at $34.80/hour (DOE flexible for strong candidates)
Schedule: Friday Sunday 6:00 AM 6:00 PM (3x12 schedule)

License Required: Limited Maintenance Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with LME (Limited Maintenance Electrician) license to support a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

This is a high-impact role requiring strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced industrial environment.

• Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and facility systems
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot and repair:
  • Electrical systems
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Vacuum and lubrication systems
  • Induction heating and pressure cleaning systems
• Install modify and overhaul machinery and equipment
• Perform equipment calibrations and maintain calibration records

• Utilize a wide range of equipment including:
  • Hand and power tools
  • Welding equipment
  • Forklifts and hoists
  • Multimeters and calibration tools
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Follow all plant safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Identify and correct unsafe conditions
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
• May assist with hazardous materials handling and spill response

• Train and support less experienced maintenance personnel
• Collaborate with production and other departments
• Support off-shift or special maintenance projects as needed

• LME (Limited Maintenance Electrician) License REQUIRED
• Minimum 4 years of journey-level maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills across:
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical systems
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Ability to read and interpret:
  • Blueprints
  • Technical manuals
  • Work orders and schematics
• Basic math and problem-solving skills
• Valid drivers license

• Trade school or apprenticeship training
• Experience in aerospace or heavy manufacturing environments
• Welding machining or fabrication experience
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)

• Industrial / manufacturing environment
• Exposure to:
  • Noise heat and moving machinery
  • Chemicals and hazardous materials
• Use of PPE and potential respirator use required

• Must be able to supply basic hand tools
• Must be able to pass:
  • Background check
  • Drug screening
• Must meet ITAR / export compliance requirements

• Strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting ability
• Self-starter who can work independently on weekends
