CNC Lathe Machinist

Location: Ontario CA
Shift Options:

• 2nd Shift: 12:15 PM 8:45 PM
• 3rd Shift: 8:15 PM 4:45 AM
  Schedule: Monday Friday (Overtime Saturdays available)
  Pay: $25.00 $35.00 per hour (DOE)
  Openings: Multiple (3 4 positions)

We are seeking experienced CNC Lathe Machinists to support aerospace manufacturing operations. This role involves machining large complex components using horizontal lathes and vertical turning lathes (VTLs).

Candidates must be able to perform setups read blueprints and machine to tight tolerances with minimal supervision.

• Set up and operate:
  • Horizontal CNC lathes
  • Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL)
• Read and interpret blueprints job travelers and work instructions
• Perform full or partial setups depending on level:
  • Level II operate with minimal supervision
  • Level III full independent setup
• Machine aerospace components made from:
  • Stainless steel
  • Aluminum
  • Titanium (6-4)
  • Inconel 718 Waspaloy
• Hold tolerances typically around .001
• Perform in-process inspections using:
  • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Gauges
• Complete first article setup checks and submit to inspection
• Adjust offsets tooling and machine parameters as needed
• Work with large heavy parts (up to 800 lbs) using cranes or forklifts
• Maintain production efficiency and quality standards

• 3 years CNC lathe experience (horizontal or VTL REQUIRED)
• Ability to perform setups (especially for Level III)
• Strong blueprint reading and understanding of tolerances
• Experience machining aerospace metals (NOT plastics/food)
• Experience with manual inspection tools
• Comfortable working with large heavy parts

• Experience with VTL machines
• Experience machining large diameter parts (5 100)
• Experience running multiple jobs or machines
• Overhead crane or forklift experience

• Aerospace manufacturing environment
• Large parts heavy equipment machining oils and noise
• Required use of PPE
