Job Summary

Position title: EDI Integration Consultant Boomi & webMethods

Position Location: Oakbrook Terrace IL 60181

Position Type: hybrid (Tue/Thur onsite)

Position Duration: 3-6 months depending on the project completion (will have to be wrapped up by the end of 2026)

Pay Rate: $75-$85/hr W2 (rate will depend on the experience)

EDI Integration Consultant Boomi & webMethods

The EDI Integration Consultant will support the setup onboarding and ongoing operations of distribution trading and logistics partners using EDI on the Boomi SaaS integration platform. The role is responsible for EDI mapping updates partner testing production support and issue resolution across Order to Cash Procure to Pay and Warehouse processes.

In addition the consultant will provide platform administration and operational support for webMethods (on-prem) running in an AIX environment ensuring job monitoring platform stability and timely corrective action for integration failures.

Key Responsibilities

Boomi EDI Integration & Partner Enablement

Configure and onboard distribution trading and logistics partners using Boomi EDI
Maintain and update EDI maps profiles trading partner configurations and communication settings
Execute unit integration and partner testing; support UAT and production cutovers
Monitor EDI transactions and resolve failures in a timely manner
Coordinate with internal IT business partners and external trading partners during setup and issue resolution
Provide production support root cause analysis and documentation for recurring issues

webMethods Platform Administration (Secondary Responsibility)

Administer and support webMethods in an on prem AIX environment
Monitor integration jobs broker activity and platform health
Identify troubleshoot and resolve integration and runtime issues
Take corrective actions to stabilize services and prevent recurrence
Support incident response root cause analysis and preventive maintenance
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams on performance and stability

Required Skills & Experience

Hands on experience with Boomi integration and EDI implementations
Strong understanding of X12 EDI standards and trading partner onboarding
Experience supporting order management invoicing and warehouse integrations
Working knowledge of webMethods administration and monitoring
Experience in AIX or UNIX based environments
Strong troubleshooting documentation and communication skills
Ability to support production systems in a fast paced integration environment

Nice to Have

Experience supporting hybrid integration landscapes (SaaS on prem)
Familiarity with ERP integrations preferably INFOR Ion and M3 (e.g. order management warehouse or finance systems)
