Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool (Nights)
Location: Rockford Illinois
Facility: Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center Riverside
Job Type: Contract 13 Weeks
Start Date: Immediate / Quick Start Available

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Float Pool team for a night shift assignment. This role supports multiple units including Medical-Surgical Cardiac Telemetry Stroke/Neuro Step-Down ICU and ICU. Candidates must be comfortable working in high-acuity environments and flexible with unit assignments based on patient care needs.

• Deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards policies and state regulations
• Develop implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document patient care in accordance with facility standards
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and care continuity
• Support performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities
• Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
• Float to various units as required based on staffing needs

• Active Illinois RN License
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience including ICU experience (required)
• Strong cardiac care experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Positions Available: 4
• EMR System: EPIC
• Holiday Coverage: Required
• Overtime: Applicable per facility guidelines
