Job Summary

Job Title: Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer - Hybrid

Duration (Contract): 2 Months

Client Location: Richmond VA 23219

Location Preference: Hybrid

Job Description:
As an Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer you will design implement and operate Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments supporting databases middleware and applications with a focus on high availability security performance and operational excellence. You will lead upgrades automation and reliability initiatives while collaborating with development and DevOps teams to ensure stable compliant cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and manage OCI environments including DBaaS middleware and core infrastructure.
Administer and support Oracle Database (CDB/PDB) Data Guard RMAN backups and recovery.
Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations including version transitions.
Configure and maintain Oracle APEX ORDS and WebLogic Server environments.
Implement high availability and disaster recovery architectures and validate resiliency.
Automate operations using shell scripting Ansible and Git based workflows.
Monitor systems with Oracle Enterprise Manager and optimize performance.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD and containerized deployments.
Produce clear documentation and provide knowledge transfer and training.

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

10 years of hands on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and core services.
Strong expertise with Oracle Database (19c) CDB/PDB RMAN Data Guard and OEM.
Experience administering Oracle APEX ORDS and WebLogic Server.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix and shell scripting; experience with Ansible and Git.
Demonstrated experience with database upgrades patching HA/DR and security best practices.
Knowledge of containerization and cloud architecture concepts.
Ability to troubleshoot critical issues and provide 24/7 production support.
Strong analytical communication and collaboration skills.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
