HBITS 07-14730 Tester Expert

DMV Transformation

This tester will work in the Quality Assurance team in the Albany NY location. The candidate will have responsibilities to coordinate user acceptance testing test applications track all testing activities during the life cycle of the assigned project report updates to management as well as day to day tasks defined for this position.

Day-to-Day Tasks:
Operating under the direction of ITS staff.
1. Provide guidelines reviews and support to developers and business analysts by creating functional tests to test applications built by developers.
2. Perform testing activities including UI automation integration testing and functional testing
3. Develop Test cases per the Business Rules in order to perform or direct others on testing requirements.
4. Review and provide guidance on the test scope and output of testers performing testing
5. Facilitate record and capture information from demos and user experience sessions.
6. Create status reporting mechanisms to monitor the status of the above activities
7. Host integration discussions with representatives of all test teams identify and help resolve roadblocks
8. Ensure that requirements and deliverables are verified and validated at each testing phase and final acceptance
9. Prepare test protocols and reports which meet regulatory requirements during the final test cycle
10. Help keep test processes streamlined for efficiency
11. Be the primary advocate for the adoption of methodologies which are appropriate for the project.
12. Use Microsoft office tools for testing activities and communications with team members and management.

Mandatory Qualification:
Tester -
Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence.

Expert -
84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Requested Qualifications:
- 84 Months experience with detailed team leadership responsibilities as the lead project tester working on highly technical projects that required over five thousand hours of resource time.
- 84 Months of experience planning designing developing and executing test plans based on business requirements and functional specifications.
- 84 Months of experience coordinating tracking and analyzing testing activities.
- 84 Months of experience creating test plans to be used by business application owners (client agencies) and managing User Acceptance Testing activities performed by the application users.
- 84 Months of experience using functional test tools to execute automated tests. Example would be OpenText. Experience must include the design build coding and execution of automated test functions
- 84 Months of experience using Micro Focus ALM (formerly known as HP Application Lifecycle Management/Quality Center).
- 84 Months of experience recording and customizing automated functional tests.
- 84 Months experience creating SQL queries to validate correct back-end processing
- Bachelors Degree in computer science.
