Job Summary
Role Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Tech Delivery Lead and Architect to lead an AI product engineering engagement for a US-based media and technology client. You will own solution architecture drive technical decision-making and serve as the primary technical interface with the client. The role sits at the intersection of backend systems data engineering and applied AI requiring someone who can design intelligent scalable systems and lead a team to deliver them. You will be embedded within a Global Capability Centre model working closely and continuously with the clients internal product and business teams. This is a hands-on leadership role not a purely advisory one.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Systems Design
- Own end-to-end solution architecture across backend data and AI layers with a clear view on scalability fault tolerance and long-term extensibility
- Define system boundaries data flow design API contracts and integration patterns across internal and external services
- Drive technology selection and architectural trade-off decisions aligned with product goals and delivery timelines
- Establish engineering standards code review practices and architectural governance across the team
AI & Knowledge Systems
- Architect RAG-based knowledge systems own decisions around retrieval strategies chunking embedding model selection hybrid search and end-to-end retrieval quality
- Design memory architecture operational episodic and semantic layers with deliberate decisions on what gets stored retrieved and expired
- Evaluate and select orchestration models retrieval chains vs. agentic workflows vs. multi-step reasoning based on complexity latency and reliability requirements
- Design for LLM failure modes at an architecture level hallucination context drift prompt sensitivity not as patches but as structural mitigations
- Define AI-level security considerations prompt injection defence output validation model access controls and data boundary enforcement within AI pipelines
Cloud Infrastructure & Security
- Architect cloud infrastructure on AWS design across compute storage networking and security with cost efficiency as a first-class concern
- Define authentication and authorisation architecture JWT OAuth RBAC across services and AI pipeline boundaries
- Establish data security design encryption PII handling access scoping and audit logging built into the architecture from day one
- Own observability strategy logging tracing alerting and AI output monitoring across the full system
Delivery Leadership & Client Engagement
- Lead the engineering team with clear ownership of delivery outcomes quality and timelines
- Serve as the senior technical point of contact for the US client translate business requirements into architecture and communicate trade-offs clearly
- Drive engagement cadence design workshops sprint reviews and steering discussions
- 1014 years of overall experience with at least 34 years in a lead or architect capacity; prior international client experience preferred
