Job Title: Pipeline Engineer

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Pipeline Engineer to join the Operations team. This role combines Project Engineering for asset reliability and enhancement with Interface Coordination to safeguard the Company’s pipeline assets from third-party activities within shared utility corridors across operational sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pipeline asset integrity reliability and enhancement projects.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage third-party activities within common utility corridors.
- Conduct crossing engineering assessments including stress analysis and impact evaluation of third-party crossings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards HSE regulations and Company procedures.
- Participate in pipeline construction commissioning and maintenance activities.
- Utilize GIS tools and CAD software to monitor pipeline routes and surrounding infrastructure.
- Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with contractors and authorities to ensure safe and compliant execution of projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering preferred).
Minimum Experience:
- 5–8 years of experience in pipeline engineering preferably within the Oil & Gas or Industrial Gases sector.
- Experience working within common utility corridors preferably in Qatar (Ras Laffan and Mesaieed).
- Hands-on experience in crossing engineering and third-party interface management.
- Strong background in pipeline construction and commissioning.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pipeline design codes (API ASME B31.3 B31.8) and IGC/EIGA standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Synergi Pipeline (or similar hydraulic modeling tools).
- Experience using GIS tools or Google Earth Pro for route tracking and asset mapping.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies.
- Familiarity with QatarEnergy (QE) pipeline standards and procedures is an advantage.
- PMP certification or NACE (CP Level 1) is a strong plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate effectively.
- Good project management capabilities.
- Strong understanding of HSE & Quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).
