The Position
Our Global Internship Programme in Innovation & Sustainability (#IP2TIS) offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while making a positive impact on the world.

As an intern you will contribute to a project focused on improving access to tuberculosis diagnostics in high-burden health systems. The project aims to identify access gaps and technical challenges affecting the use of diagnostic tools while generating evidence to support better healthcare decision-making.
During your internship you will contribute to key project outputs including a structured analysis of access barriers and opportunities stakeholder mapping and engagement planning a technical evidence dossier and materials to support discussions with relevant stakeholders.
Your work will contribute to strengthening healthcare systems and improving patient outcomes by supporting more informed use of diagnostic solutions.
The Opportunity
Analyze current diagnostic practices for tuberculosis and identify gaps in access to testing for active and latent tuberculosis
Identify technical and system-level challenges affecting the use of diagnostic tools in high-burden healthcare settings
Conduct literature reviews and synthesize clinical and scientific evidence related to tuberculosis diagnostics
Support the development of technical documentation and evidence-based materials to inform healthcare decision-making
Map key stakeholders involved in healthcare decision-making processes especially within social security systems
Contribute to the identification of opportunities to improve access to tuberculosis diagnostic approaches
Prepare presentations and materials to support internal discussions and stakeholder engagement
Contribute to the development of an opportunity assessment for latent tuberculosis diagnostics including potential use cases and adoption pathways
Who You Are
You are currently enrolled in Bachelors studies at a university preferably in the field of Medical Technology Biomedical Sciences Medicine or Public Health within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months.
Furthermore you are
Able to review and interpret scientific and clinical literature
Interested in laboratory diagnostics and infectious diseases ideally with a basic understanding of tuberculosis
Analytical and comfortable structuring and synthesizing complex information
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint Excel and Word
A proactive organized and detail-oriented team player who is fluent in Spanish and comfortable working in English

Additional information
