Job Summary
Tidewell Hospice a part of Empath Health is seeking a Senior Manager Clinical Operations.
Under the supervision and oversight of the Vice President of Mission Advancement the Senior Manager Clinical Access is responsible facilitating admissions for all Empath Health service lines within an assigned geographic area. This includes patients admitted in In-Patient Units Homes and/or Community Partner Facilities. This position ensures development of a highly performing multi-disciplinary team as well as the implementation and successful execution of effective and efficient systems processes and job duties. The Senior Manager ensures delivery of high-quality patient and family centered care aligned with evidence-based practice regulatory requirements value-based care principles and the organizations mission. They will serve as a key operational and clinical leader collaborating across programs administrative partners and other teams to support integrated care models including ACO-aligned patient population health initiatives.

What youll Do
- Recruit hire supervise and mentor Access Managers and Access Navigators.
- Oversee orientation training competency validation and ongoing team development.
- Promote colleague engagement retention and succession planning.
- Partner with HR on workforce planning performance management and accountability.
- Oversee clinical quality patient experience responsiveness and service delivery standards.
- Monitor performance dashboards regulatory compliance cost metrics and patient outcomes.
- Lead development and execution of corrective action plans.
- Maintain visible leadership presence across assigned areas.
- Address patient family and community partner concerns promptly to ensure service excellence.
- Serve as a clinical subject matter expert and liaison with Compliance IT Quality Education and Program Directors.
- Collaborate with educational leaders to ensure effective onboarding and clinical competency. Support improvement efforts related to HOPE CAHPS and other quality outcomes.
- Ensure standardized EMR workflows and documentation practices across teams.
- Lead implementation of strategic clinical initiatives aligned with organizational and value-based goals.
- Maintain expertise in regulatory requirements and evidenceâbased standards to guide operational decisions.
- Collaborate on development revision and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Develop and manage area clinical budgets in partnership with Finance.
- Monitor and optimize the hospice Big 5 cost drivers: Pharmacy DME Supplies Labor and Mileage.
- Align operational and financial data to support efficient resource utilization.
- Maintain staffing and productivity models that reflect patient needs and meet budget expectations.
- Strengthen relationships with physicians facilities and referral partners to support continuity of care.
- Participate in regulatory surveys audits and quality assessments.
- Monitor and respond to regulatory changes impacting hospice care delivery.
- Support market growth through collaboration with community partners and healthcare organizations.
- Provide education to referral sources on hospice services eligibility and care models.
- Evaluate trends and identify opportunities to expand access and integrated care pathways.
- Partner with mission advancement and operational teams on strategic growth initiatives.
- Performs additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support departmental operations and organizational goals.

What Youll Need
- Education and/or Experience: Associates degree in nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred. Minimum of 3 years hospice clinical experience required. Minimum of 3 years management experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Florida; hospice/palliative certification preferred.
- Knowledge of CMS CoPs state/federal hospice regulations and accrediting body standards.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and data-driven clinical operations.
- Must have reliable transportation and provide proof of a valid drivers license and automobile insurance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other software.
- Employee must sign a Business Protection Agreement.
