Skilled Carpenter

The Role:

We are seeking experienced carpenters to join a strong pipeline of residential and commercial projects offering consistent work and excellent long-term opportunities.

This is a hands-on role that combines skilled carpentry with leadership potential where you will interpret plans carry out formwork and structural work operate tools and machinery and support site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret plans and specifications to complete carpentry and construction tasks accurately
• Construct formwork boxing and channels and assist with steel fixing and reinforcing work
• Carry out concrete placement drilling anchoring and structural strengthening tasks
• Operate a range of site tools and machinery safely and efficiently
• Support or lead site crews and help maintain smooth workflow on site

Days & Hours:

• Monday to Friday typically 7:00am 5:00pm
• Occasional Saturday work as required

Skills & Experience:

• Proven carpentry or building experience (commercial experience highly regarded)
• Confident using a range of tools machinery and site equipment
• Leadership capability or willingness to step into a senior role
• Strong work ethic reliability and commitment to health & safety
• LBP licence advantageous but not essential for experienced candidates

Requirements:

• Reliable transport (Full NZ Drivers Licence preferred)
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test Ministry of Justice check and ACC history check
• Must currently reside in New Zealand with valid work rights
