Nature of Work

This trainee-level job class is designed forindividuals beginning their careers in a targeted field and involvesperforming a wide-range of professional-level positions. This position requiresa degree in the targeted job employee will work under directsupervision for a period of time (up to two years) until the employee meets theminimum qualification of the targeted position. After becoming qualifiedthe employee will be eligible for promotion.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a post-high school degree in the assigned position.

NOTE: Employees hired as a professional traineewill work no more than two (2) years to be eligible for promotion.

Kind of Examination

Applications are being accepted to fill any vacancies that may occur during the life of the register. The register established from this announcement period will expire one year from the register date. The register will be set up to fill vacancies with theCity of Montgomery.
