Family Law Paralegal
Location: Northwich Cheshire (office-based)
Salary: 22000 to 26000 (depending on experience)
Experience: Suitable for a law student recent graduate or an early-career paralegal with a genuine interest in Family Law
This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Paralegal to join our clients fast-paced and supportive team in Northwich. Due to growing client demand the team is looking for someone enthusiastic highly organised and eager to learn with a genuine interest in building a long-term career in family law.
You will work closely with experienced solicitors across a broad range of family law matters supporting the team to deliver excellent client care. This role would suit someone early in their legal career who wants hands-on exposure in a professional nurturing environment.
What Youll Be Doing
Client Care and Communication
- Communicating with clients and potential clients in a positive professional and friendly manner
- Handling inbound calls assisting callers and directing queries to the appropriate team member
- Managing a high volume of calls during peak periods and prioritising effectively
- Ensuring client queries are handled efficiently and information provided is accurate and timely
Information Management and Confidentiality
- Taking accurate messages and passing them to the appropriate colleague promptly
- Providing accurate information to clients and third parties where appropriate
- Respecting sensitive and confidential information at all times
Administration and Case Management
- Providing general administrative support to colleagues as needed
- Preparing correspondence and documents where appropriate
- Updating the case management system promptly and accurately
- Keeping client files organised secure and stored correctly (paper and electronic)
- Supporting good file security practices including ensuring files are not left in public view
Team Support
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues
- Providing cover for colleagues where appropriate including supporting across teams or office locations
- Ensuring proper handover of work during periods of leave or absence

- Ability to follow instructions and use initiative when appropriate

- Strong client care skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of clients
- Respect for confidentiality and sensitive information

- Law student recent graduate or early-career paralegal experience
- Genuine interest in family law and commitment to developing a long-term legal career
