Key Responsibilities
Teaching and LearningPlan and implement age-appropriate daily activities aligned to ECD best practicesSupport early learning including language motor skills social interaction and independenceCreate a balance between structured learning free play and routine-based activities
Child Care and SupervisionEnsure the safety wellbeing and continuous supervision of childrenSupport daily routines including hygiene toileting and feeding where requiredBuild a warm nurturing and emotionally supportive environment
Classroom ManagementMaintain a clean organised and stimulating classroomUse positive discipline and behaviour guidance techniquesPrepare and manage learning materials and resources
Observation and Development TrackingObserve and document each childs developmentIdentify developmental delays and escalate where necessaryMaintain accurate records and reports
Teamwork and CommunicationWork closely with colleagues and support staffCommunicate effectively with management and caregiversParticipate in team meetings and development initiatives
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
ECD Level 4 Qualification (non-negotiable)
Valid Police Clearance
Proven experience working with children aged 34 years
Strong understanding of early childhood development principles
