As a Armed Security Officer - Access Controlin Elko NV you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and support access control activities. This role is ideal for a professional who values teamwork integrity and strong communication while delivering outstanding customer service in a dynamic environment.

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures access control practices and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances restricted areas and public-facing spaces while following post orders verifying authorized access and assisting staff and visitors with security-related questions.
• Support emergency protocols by contacting appropriate personnel coordinating with local authorities when needed and helping maintain order during alarms evacuations and/or other urgent events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
