HPC Industrial powered by Clean Harbors is looking for an ISSafety Supervisorto work at a client facility.The IS Safety Supervisorinspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company state and federal safety policies and regulations; Oversees ongoing work sites to ensure personnel comply with company and client safety requirement along with promoting a positive safety culture; Emergency response and site remediation while working in all types of weather conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

  • Conduct health and safety inspections audits and interventions investigate oversee and observe safety conditions and manage safety permits and required paperwork;

  • Manage employee safety training programs and coordination;

  • JLAs (job loss analysis) JHAs (job hazard analysis) and manage safety equipment inspection testing and supply;

  • Provide leadership and guidance on Clean Harbors specific processes and expectations;

  • Respondto emergencies and incidents and manage injury and accident follow-up and reporting;

  • Coach manage and supervise teams to further enhance their safety responsibility and performance;

  • Establish relationships with client safety department;

  • Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational procedures to complete assignments;

  • Inspects assigned work areas and equipment to identify compliance issues;

  • Documents safety inspections citing dangerous areas/procedures/practices; Recommends corrective actions;

  • Performs other duties as assigned



Qualifications
  • 2 years of progressively responsible and related experience in an industrial setting;

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Knowledge of the following is preferred: First Aid Confined Space and Fall Protection and DISA standards;

  • TWIC Card or ability to qualify for TWIC Card a must;

  • Strong knowledge of regulations.

  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Industrial setting Refinery Petro-Chemical Utilities Pulp and Paper Mills etc.

  • Must be available to work 7 days/week 10-14 hour shifts

  • 2 years of progressively responsible and related experience in an industrial setting;

  • CSST or higher safety certification preferred.
