Shift Supervisor, Baggage Handling System

Job Summary
The Shift Supervisor assists the Site Manager Operations and Maintenance at the Denver Airport in any operational and maintenance technical matters. The Supervisor also coordinates the maintenance intervals supervises the maintenance work/team assures the implementation of procedures makes updates to the procedures and manuals suggests corrective actions and resolve them if necessary. The Shift Supervisor is the Customers primary contact when the Site Manager is not available. Must be available to work any shift; days nights holidays weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance in order to ensure system effectiveness
- Lead and guide the entire team on the shift
- Schedule and implement the corrective & preventive maintenance plan
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedule being followed and checklist updated
- Carry out routine and random inspection on the system
- Continuous maintenance supervision of the system
- Attend to major stoppages and provide solutions to prevent recurrence
- Liaise with the remote Hotline for Software Support
- Conduct maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting
- Store management and spare parts procurement
- Develop the staff competence on a frequent basis. Responsible for leading competence development sessions to keep the knowledge of the technicians at the required level.
- Monitor diagnoses and support appropriate server (e.g. MICS and CSC).
- Assist in providing technical clarification and details when required
- Provide monthly system breakdown statistic to Residential Service Manager.
- Provide spares consumption statistic and absenteeism rate
- Responsible for recording all warranty parts and activities
- Carry out other duties as assigned from the Site Manager Operations & Maintenance
Hourly Rate: $42.71
Work schedule: Sunday - Tuesday: 4:00pm - 4:00am Wednesday: 4:00pm to 10:00pm
Qualifications :
Skills/Experience/Authorizations Required:
- Mechanical or Electrical certification
- 3-5 years of hands-on work experience in baggage handling systems and/or automated systems in material handling industries operations and maintenance
- Successfully obtain and maintain an Airside Pass (Security Clearance)
- Strategy insight and comprehension strong business sense
- Comprehension of values and management competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills able to connect well with others
- Relevant system and product knowledge
- MS Office Proficiency
- CMMS Proficiency Planta software proficiency preferred
- Must be able to work any shift; days nights holidays weekends
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced airport environment with exposure to noise machinery and variable temperatures.
- Shifts include working nights weekends and holidays.
- Frequent walking bending lifting (when needed) standing throughout large airport facilities
