In this role you will work with a highly interdisciplinary research teamsoftware engineers modelling and analytics scientists and domain expertsdeveloping innovative evidencebased decision support tools. CSC contributes directly to highimpact highprofile government and industry projects. Our work informs realworld policy and operational decisions.
Who You Are (skills and experience):
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience in software development including designing implementing and maintaining application components
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java Python) and working with shared codebases
- Sound understanding of software development practices including version control (e.g. Git) testing debugging and Agile methodologies
- Experience with data-driven applications and working with relational or non-relational databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and deliver solutions with varying levels of supervision
- Ability to interpret requirements and translate them into functional technical solutions working both independently and collaboratively
- Effective communication time management and organisational skills with a commitment to continuous learning workplace values and safety standards

Eligibility:
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. All candidates must hold Australian Citizenship to be considered for this position. Baseline security clearance is highly desirable for this role. You must be willing to apply for and maintain security clearance.
