To reinforce our Purchasing team based in Bienne we are looking for a:

JOB SUMMARY

The Purchaser is responsible for sourcing negotiating and procuring goods and services to support the companys operations. This role involves building and maintaining strong supplier relationships ensuring timely and reliable delivery of materials and continuously optimizing procurement processes to meet cost quality and performance objectives. The Purchaser collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between procurement activities and overall business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support purchasing activities for watch components and services

• Create manage and follow up on purchase orders within the ERP system

• Monitor order progress to ensure on-time delivery and proactively resolve issues related to delivery quality or pricing

• Analyze market trends supplier performance and competitive dynamics to support effective sourcing decisions

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier and procurement data (pricing lead times MOQs)

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability quality and continuity of supply

• Support cost tracking initiatives and assist in preparing negotiations with suppliers

• Contribute to inventory optimization by helping prevent shortages and excess stock

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning Quality Logistics Product Development After-Sales Service and Finance to align procurement activities with business needs

• Participate in supplier evaluations and performance monitoring processes

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education:

  • Business school degree or equivalent

  • Academic background in purchasing or supply chain management is an advantage

• Experience:

  • 23 years of experience in purchasing procurement or supply chain management preferably in the watchmaking luxury goods or manufacturing industries

• Skills:

  • Good negotiation skills with a practical and solution-oriented mindset

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is a plus) and good knowledge of MS Office

  • Analytical mindset with an interest in data-driven decision-making

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Team player with a positive and collaborative attitude

  • Fluent in French with a good level of English

  • Interest in watchmaking and/or luxury goods
