About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic friendly and self-motivated staff experienced in laundry services to assist our residents. As a laundry services assistant your focus will be to ensure our residents personal items laundry requirements and preferences are kept to an excellent standard.

Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team your focus will be:

• Collect sort wash dry and distribute clothing/linen
• Maintain adequate stocks of supplies at all times
• Ensure cleaning products are available for washing and the correct wash cycle is used for all loads
• Ensure heavily soiled items are handled in line with Infection Control Procedures

Requirements

You are an enthusiastic motivated self-starter who is eager to develop a career in aged care. To be considered for this role you will need

• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
• Strong initiative and ability to work without supervision
• Experience working in a commercial laundry facility and/or in working in a health care facility highly regarded but not essential
• Available to work Monday Tuesday & Wednesday from 7am to 3pm each day
