JOB SUMMARY

The Mechanic Foreman I is responsible for overseeing the operation maintenance and repair of rotating equipment like pumps compressors turbines and engines that are integral to natural gas production processing or transportation facilities.

This role sets goals for the team and oversees day-to-day objectives within a defined area. Ensures team members understand and follow policies practices and procedures. Problems faced are generally not difficult or complex. Demonstrates integrity accountability and transparency; upholds BKV standards values and culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Typical job responsibilities of the Mechanic Equipment Foreman Iinclude:

• Oversee troubleshooting repair and replacement of rotating equipment components.
• Ensure the team diagnoses and solves mechanical electrical and operational issues with pumps compressors turbines and motors.
• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to particularly when working with hazardous materials or equipment.
• Promote a safety-first culture and lead safety meetings and drills.
• Coordinate maintenance projects ensuring that the necessary parts tools and labor are available.
• Keep track of project timelines and budgets to ensure on-time cost-effective completion.
• Regularly inspect equipment for signs of wear misalignment or malfunction.
• Use condition monitoring tools (e.g. vibration analysis infrared thermography) to ensure equipment is running optimally.
• Work closely with operations and engineering teams to address issues or improvements related to rotating equipment.
• Communicate effectively with senior management about critical issues or failures.
• Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Understanding of natural gas industry standards market trends emerging issues and regulatory requirements.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• In-depth knowledge of rotating equipment design operation and failure modes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelors degree preferred.
• Typically requires less than 3 years of relevant supervisor experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS

• This position is located in the Barnett Field / Fort Worth Basin and is based out of the BKV Fort Worth Texas office.
• Hybrid of indoor and outdoor working environments depending on assignment.
• Requires ability to perform repetitive motions operate standard office equipment potentially stand for long periods of time and engage in frequent bending stooping pushing pulling and lifting items in excess of 20lbs.
• May be exposed to hazardous environments that would require PPE (personal protective equipment) to be worn.
• When on the road may remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and engage in frequent eye/hand/foot coordination.
