Develop valuable skills in customer service and retail operations. Lead Sales Associates are given opportunities to learn about all aspects of retail operations including merchandising logistics of stock delivery and store inventory management. The Retail Lead Sales Associate will assist in the operations of Sweet Memories gift shop at the Hershey Lodge to achieve the departments goals for the year.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Serve as front-line team member

• Provide exceptional guest service by assisting in the proper training of new team members within your assigned store location

• Maintain rapport with Front Desk and answer guest inquiries in person and over the phone in a timely manner.

• Exhibit thorough product knowledge and upselling techniques to guests

• Maintain store appearance standards to ensure the store is stocked and assist in other inventory management tasks as needed

• Resolve immediate guest concerns partnering with full time staff when needed to prevent recurring guest service issues

• Identify safety and maintenance related issues and relay these concerns to store leadership to ensure they are addressed

• Follow all cash handling procedures in accordance with Resort Revenue Group SOPs

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older on the date of applying

• One year of retail customer service and/or leadership experience

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Proven guest relations problem solving task management skills and organizational skills

• Professional and effective communication skills

• Must be able to work independently and within a team environment

• Must be able to speak write and understand English

• Must display a positive attitude eagerness to learn and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• This position requires a high level of independence

Job Demands:

• Must be able to work all year round.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days evenings weekends and holidays

• Physical requirements include standing (75-100% of the shift) sitting walking bending pushing pulling lifting up to 35 lbs with assistance finger dexterity and communicating effectively
