Job Summary
Description
We are Techmer PM the worlds foremost materials design firm creating custom polymers that make up essential products. Through our long-standing partnerships with processors original equipment manufacturers and product designers weve worked for decades to tackle manufacturing and business challenges through sustainable future-minded solutions.
We are currently seeking an Engineering Intern at our Clinton TN facility. This position will be on 1st shift Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm.

Responsibilities:
- Safety: Complies with all Safety procedures required at the site.
- Project Management: Design and implement projects on Site Continuous Improvement Plan.
- Process Improvement: Identify process gaps conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions to improve. Examples could be efficiency bottlenecks Safety improvements machinery revisions to increase throughput or reduce waste. And 5S to ensure necessary tools and supplies are available.
- Hands On Work: Utilize academic knowledge to incorporate into practical tasks on the plant floor.
Qualifications and Skills
- Current enrollment at a 4-year university pursuing an BS in Mechanical Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
- Computer literate in MS Office Suite of products.
- CAD experience a plus.
- PLC programming experience a plus.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma tools to resolve processing problems and optimize efficiencies.
- High degree of organizational skills to effectively handle all assigned responsibilities.
- Team builder
Hourly rate $25/hour.
