About the Project

This is a truly unique opportunity to be part of a large-scale greenfield automotive manufacturing project from the ground up.

We are looking for an Implementation Team Lead / Technical Team Lead to join Nexer and play a key role in building and launching a brand-new manufacturing plant in Košice Slovakia.

You will be directly involved in deploying and bringing to life a core Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across multiple production lines. This is not a maintenance role it is a chance to shape a factory from day one and see your work running in real production.

About the role

You will lead an on-site MES implementation team mainly composed of junior Java developers working directly in a live manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with manufacturing industrialization local IT and global experts acting as the key bridge between Nexer and the client.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead mentor and coordinate a team of developers

• Act as the main interface with client stakeholders

• Handle issue escalation and resolution in production

• Ensure quality scope and timeline adherence

• Support onboarding and team scaling

• Provide reporting and participate in governance meetings

• Support commissioning pre-series production and stabilization

• Oversee testing phases (integration system regression UAT)

• Coordinate MES deployments releases and configurations

• Plan and align activities with commissioning and production milestones

You might be the perfect match if you are/have

• Experience as Team Lead / Technical Lead / Senior Engineer

• Experience with MES systems

• Java development experience

• Leadership and mentoring skills

• Knowledge of REST APIs databases Linux

• Strong English communication

• Based in Košice or nearby

• driving licence

• 100% on-site availability

Nice to have

• Background in automotive manufacturing

• MES knowledge

• Knowledge of Docker Kubernetes OpenShift

• Experience with CI/CD or release processes

• Docker / Kubernetes / OpenShift

• Greenfield or commissioning experience
