Responsibilities
Planning and delivering practical and theoretical sessions to students from Year 7 through to Year 11.
Teaching a progression of culinary skills ranging from basic safety to advanced techniques like emulsion and decorative plating.
Explaining the chemical and functional properties of ingredients to provide a deep understanding of food science.
Enforcing rigorous health and hygiene standards within a high-energy practical environment.
Integrating contemporary topics like food sustainability and global supply chain ethics into daily lessons.
Requirements
You must hold Qualified Teacher Status and a degree in a relevant field such as Food Technology or Nutrition.
The ability to manage a busy kitchen classroom while maintaining a focused and safe learning atmosphere.
Strong technical knowledge of current examination specifications and assessment criteria.
