We are looking for a dedicated Physics Teacher who can bring complex theoretical concepts to life through practical application and engaging instruction. This role involves delivering high-quality science education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with opportunities to contribute to A-Level Physics for the right candidate.

The Department

Core Responsibilities

1. Planning and delivering physics lessons that cater to a wide range of academic abilities and learning styles.

2. Demonstrating and supervising practical experiments ensuring all students follow strict health and safety protocols.

3. Using data and assessment to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback that supports academic growth.

4. Explaining the mathematical foundations of physics such as mechanics electricity and waves in an accessible and clear manner.

5. Managing classroom behavior effectively to maintain a focused and respectful learning environment.

The Successful Candidate We are seeking a specialist who is passionate about physics and committed to raising student attainment. Requirements include

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Physics or a closely related Science subject.

• The ability to simplify complex abstract concepts and relate them to real-world phenomena.

• Strong subject knowledge of the current national curriculum and GCSE examination specifications.

• A proactive approach to professional development and a desire to contribute to the wider school community.
