The Department

We encourage the practical application of the subject through student-led research projects and visits to university psychology departments.
Core Responsibilities
Planning and delivering high-quality Psychology lessons that prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
Explaining complex psychological theories research methods and ethical considerations in a way that is accessible and engaging.
Supporting students in developing their evaluative writing skills and their ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
Keeping up to date with contemporary psychological research to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and academically challenging.
Creating a safe classroom environment where sensitive topics can be discussed with maturity and empathy.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for an educator who is passionate about understanding why people think and act the way they do. Requirements include
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Psychology or a related Social Science field.
A thorough understanding of current A-Level and GCSE specifications including the requirements for research methods and statistics.
The ability to inspire students to think critically about the world around them and the factors that influence human behavior.
Strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of student achievement.
